Though you are many miles away and hidden from my sight I see you there. So far out of reach yet I still look for you. All the earth may cast its shallow but it cannot hide you from me. Absence your full beauty the stars shine brightly about you yet know they pale in your unveiled presence. Your light however faint still comforts me. Someday I will see your familiar face again and that is hope enough. As the light dims and shadows creep across the sky I remember you. A lovely glow silhouetted by palm trees on a summer’s eve. As a newly risen crescent over a park where children play. And as a light laid down across the waves to guide my way along the beach. Those memories neither time nor distance will ever eclipse. |
